Indian Head Massage (Champissage)
This is an old therapy first practise in India over 4000 years ago and was used almost exclusively by women on other women, there are different head massage techniques that were used by Indian Men, but they are more family orientated in origin being passed through the generations and as yet do not have a specific universal technique.
Champissage was originally used as a cosmetic therapy where the practitioners would use local products such as coconut, to help fortify, and keep their hair lustrous and beautiful. It was not really introduced as an alternative therapy in the UK in 1981 by Narendra Mehta.
